figueroafilms is a self-founded freelance videography and photography business led by Cristina Figueroa—an award-winning filmmaker, TV-credited creative, and proud Puerto Rican. The business provides a wide range of visual media services, including coverage for graduations, sweet 16 celebrations, college applications and athletic recruitment, weddings, music and dance videos, promotional content, short films, and more. Cristina’s passion for visual storytelling began in 2012, when her family relocated to England due to her father’s job. Leaving behind her hometown, friends, and extended family was a difficult transition. Yet, amid the challenges of adapting to a new culture and lifestyle, she discovered a creative outlet that changed everything: filmmaking. With a camera in hand, Cristina realized she could bring her visions to life—and she’s been doing so ever since. Cristina’s creative journey began during the early rise of  YouTube and Apple devices—her first introduction to digital media. Armed with curiosity and occasionally her father’s pocket camcorder, she started exploring the world of video creation.
